Lauren N. Hendrickson is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s municipal law practice group. She is Assistant City Attorney for the cities of La Mesa and El Cajon and Deputy City Attorney for the cities of Coronado, Solana Beach and Imperial Beach. She advises multiple city commissions, including the La Mesa Planning Commission, the Coronado Planning Commission and the Coronado Design Review Commission. She frequently assists and advises the firm’s other municipal clients as well.

Her practice covers all facets of local governance including planning issues, parliamentary procedure, code enforcement, personnel relations, and open meeting laws. She advises city staff on a wide range of legal matters including proposed state legislation, land use, contracts, and the Public Records Act. She also prosecutes municipal code violations on behalf of the firm’s municipal clients. She provides training in ethics, due process, the Ralph M. Brown Act, Form 700s and AB 1234.
Ms. Hendrickson has represented many of the firm’s municipal, business and individual clients’ interests in a wide range of legal matters through litigation. She routinely defends the firm’s municipal clients against writ of mandate petitions.
Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Ms. Hendrickson practiced business litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business matters. She has served on several litigation teams across the country in both federal and state courts, handling all aspects of civil litigation.
Ms. Hendrickson is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
